Day 15:: Breathe

Day 15 Orange Leaves

“It is wise to direct your anger towards problems – not people; to focus your energies on answers – not excuses.”

—  William Arthur Ward

Breathe.

Inhale.

Tonight I will be attending my final class on Mediation.  The goal afterwards is to set the practice of meditation into my daily routine. As in – every day, on my own.

Implementing new habits. Bumping up old routines. Establishing time in your day for necessary needs and making sure that they aren’t crowded out by unnecessary wants or desires {yours or someone else’s}. It’s difficult. It’s scary. It’s a challenge.

The following is an excerpt from an online training course I had to take yesterday on Fire & Prevention:

“Flammable liquids must be segregated in their own storage area. Drums must be properly ventilated to prevent vapor pressure build up if exposed to heat, or the formation of a vacuum if subjected to cooling. Improper ventilation can cause drums to leak or rupture, causing an explosion.”

And I thought…

We are the drums.

We hold flammable liquid.

We must enforce preventative measures, proper ventilation, on ourselves if —

We don’t want to cause an explosion.

Breathe.

Exhale.

“Love is patient and kind… It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;”
